Introduction
What is financial planning?
It’s simply an ongoing process of collating your financial circumstances, goals and objectives, now and in the future, so that you can make informed decisions to achieve what’s possible, no matter what happens for you and your family.
What is lifelong cashflow modelling?
It’s the very heart of financial planning. It takes all the detailed assumptions for what you earn, spend, own, and owe now and in the future, including your short and long terms goals and dreams, and shows you in a simple chart whether you’re on track or not, no matter what happens. It projects different outcomes when the assumptions are tweaked.
What is a Financial Planner?
They’re trusted and qualified professionals with in-depth knowledge, skills and experience to really understand and guide you throughout your lifetime. They’ll get to know you and analyse your situation with cashflow modelling. They’ll listen and challenge you. They’ll take into account factors like tax, regulations and risk. They’ll stress test any projections with you and then research and help you implement any agreed recommendations. Then, they’ll monitor and meet with you at least anually to review your financial plan and keep you on track.
