Each year our Chartered Financial Planner and keen golfer, Steven Walker, organises a golf day for a wide network of like-minded individuals in the North West.
This year’s event was a held in August at Davenport Golf Club for 34 enthusiastic golfers. Whilst there was a social element to the event, a key aspect of the day was to also raise money and support a local charity, one of the charity competitions included beat the host at the par 3 16th, to the hosts delight only seven people managed this, and one lucky person was drawn to win two tickets to next year’s Open back in the North West of England at Royal Liverpool.
This year’s chosen charity was The Remembering Nell Foundation. The Foundation was founded by the family of Nell Jones, the 14-year-old from Cheshire who lost her life, together with 22 other people, in the Manchester Arena bombing at the Ariana Grande concert.
The Foundation funds specific projects supporting children and young people, in the North West, to reach their potential, we are proud to have made a donation and thank all those who took part in raising money for this worthwhile cause.
