'Clients expect us to be proficient with financial products but they should never be driver of advice. My function is to help my clients live an enjoyable and active life without the stress and fears of financial constraints.  I do this by demonstrating to clients whether they would run out of money if they maintained the status quo, retired earlier, spent more money, went on that 'around the world' holiday or what ever the goal may be.  If there is something the client doesn't like, I explain the options available and use financial solutions to meet the clients needs."

Lisa Davies, Independent Financial Adviser

DipFA AwPetr

Lisa has been in Financial Services for over 20 years. Her early career was spent in wealth management based in Jersey in the Channel Islands, she worked for Barclays Wealth and Abacus Trustees, dealing with Trusts and Estates for high net worth clients. She then moved into property sales and management, running an estate agency in Tenerife until 2007 when she returned to the UK to resume her career in Financial Services.

Lisa enjoys meeting with clients and is especially passionate about pensions and retirement planning; “The real enjoyment of being a financial planner is providing clients with holistic advice that allows them to enjoy their lives, instead of worrying about what's going on in the world financially. I often meet clients that have worked hard and saved, but don't really know how to use their pension fund effectively. The best feeling is when you highlight what options they have - retirement, semi-retirement, helping family members or just enjoying their lives more.”

Outside of work Lisa enjoys spending time with her children and hill walking with her dog.
